Someone Else's Shoes (5th Period): A Crowd Sourced Novel

Life is hard for April Grey, a high school sophomore at Sojourner Truth Magnet High School in Chicago. She's surrounded by people who are more successful than she is, in one way or another: straighter teeth, better hair, better complexion, more perfect height, more money, more friends, better grades, they're in better shape, their family lives don't suck as badly as hers does, they get rides to school while she has to take the train, they have better clothes. With the help of her quirky English teacher, Julie Glass, April mysteriously spends one day in a childhood memory of each of her classmates and slowly learns the irony of her bitterness. Someone Else's Shoes, is the sequel to the world's first high school crowd-sourced novel, the award -winning 30 Days to Empathy.
