About the Author
Patrick Horner, born May 23, 1934, in Johnson County, Missouri, is a long-time lawyer and judge. He was educated at Central Missouri State College (now the University of Central Missouri) at Warrensburg, Missouri and the University of Missouri - Columbia Law School (LLB 1959). He practiced law as a solo general practitioner for ten years until his appointment as a member of the judiciary of the State of Missouri in December 1973. He retired from the active judiciary and became a Senior Judge in 1998, and continues to hear cases occasionally, mostly in the Circuit Court of Boone County at Columbia, Missouri. Patrick and his wife of 57 years, Julia, have two adult children, two grandchildren (one deceased), and two great-grandchildren. They make their home in the small town of Auxvasse, Callaway County, Missouri.
