About the Author A former propulsion engineer at Grumman Aerospace Corporation, Leahy worked on the Lunar Module Program that was responsible for putting men on the moon. Jack Leahy has a Mechanical Engineering degree and a Master's degree in Business. In addition to Grumman, Leahy worked for 25 years at the Chase Manhattan Bank, where he was a Senior Vice President and held numerous executive positions, including head of the Correspondent Banking Department, Sector Credit Executive, and head of the Middle Market business in the New York Tri-State area. Leahy's financial and business expertise also includes the role of Managing Director at Citigroup for eight years where Leahy was responsible for the Private Banking Business on Long Island. He grew this business from a little-known private bank to the largest and most well respected private bank on Long Island. Jack Leahy currently runs a consulting business, helping small and mid size companies and their owners to grow and prosper. Leahy holds Series 7, 66, and 24 licenses, is a Certified Investment Management Consultant and is on the board of a public Real Estate Investment Trust. Leahy has attended numerous executive programs, including the Darden School, Columbia Business School and the Menninger Clinic. In 2000, Leahy was selected "Man of the Year" by St Joseph's College. Leahy is also a popular lecturer who has spoken at numerous investment breakfasts, Bankers Association functions, small business meetings and at various universities.
