Eleven pregnant mares are missing. They are the property of seventeen-year-old Alejendra Rodriguez--Alex for short. Alex's grandmother sends her to Henry, the oldest and the best tracker in the territory. His reputation for tracking is unsurpassed. About the Author
G. R. Howe was raised in Kane, Wyoming. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Political Science and went on to receive his law degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He began practicing in Ventura, California in 1976 and pursued a career in law for the next thirty-four years, after which he and his wife, Joy returned to Wyoming to ranch, raise a few cows, and write western novels. He is an Associate Member of Western Writers of America
