It is the thirteenth century and the Northern Crusades have begun. The Teutonic Order has been given orders to launch a crusade against the Prussian pagans and convert the land to Christianity. The Baltic tribes have a long battle ahead of them, but they most certainly will not give up without a fight and are determined to defend their homeland. Friedrich von Rotenkreuz is a skilled Teutonic Knight who not only fights for God's will, but for revenge on the pagans for breaking up his family and forcing him into slavery when he was young. Ever since the Teutonic Knights burned down his village, Gailimantas, a pagan Prussian, has dedicated his life to driving out the German invaders and restoring peace to his people. But both of their plans are sidetracked when they become demons. Now blessed with eternal youth, but cursed with the hunger for human flesh and the loss of their humanity, their rivalry deepens as the war escalates and they learn about their new abilities. Follow the journey of two mens' eternal rivalry from the 13th century to present day as they learn that eternal life comes with a price.
