About the Author

Abdul-Hakim al-Matroudi, visiting professor at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, specialises in Islamic law, the Islamic Judicial system and Qur'anic Law. He has a specialist interest in Hanbali law and Ibn Taymiyyah.
