Salami, Ali: - Ali Salami, Ph.D. is a Shakespearean scholar, lexicographer, literary translator and Professor of English literature and Translation Studies at the University of Tehran. An internationally published author, Salami has written extensively on Shakespeare, gender and discourse, comparative literature, and postcolonial literature. He is the author of Shakespeare and The Reader (Chicago, 2013) and the editor of Culture-Blind Shakespeare (Newcastle, 2016) and Fundamental Shakespeare (Newcastle, 2016). Some of his works have been translated into a number of languages. Salami has also translated the selected poems of Sohrab Sepehri, Simin Behbahani, Fereydoun Moshiri, Forough Farrokhzad and Hafiz.
