Haas, Denise Big D.: - Denise Haas, aka Big D, is a suicide attempt survivor. In her early years, Denise was in deep despair and had an obsession with death. Today, she is overflowing with hope and living life to the fullest. She is a wife, a mother, a mother-in-law, a grandma, friend, minister, musician, writer, and a passionate follower of Jesus. Her life's goal is to be a blessing to others-helping in every way possible to bring hope to those who are lost in the darkness. Denise has been walking with Jesus since 1986, married for almost 36 years with two married sons, and one grandson. Being formally suicidal (before Christ), Denise has a heart for those who are depressed and hopeless. In the summer of 2015, she felt the Lord leading her to write the book "just hold on: finding hope in the face of suicide." Her second book, "The Omega Generation" was a result of her prayer time one morning in October 2022. She also heard the Lord leading her to write "Preach! Jesus 101", a 12-week Bible study, during that same time. She currently resides in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with her husband, one cat, and her Wiener-Poo puppy, Chewy.
