The punching bag is a story of a little girl with a speech disability which came as a result of an illness that almost left her dead. Opakasi, the little girl, tries hard to fit into the society, and as she tries to do so, someone comes along claiming to have a solution for her. But will things work out for the better?Joseph, one of Opakasi's haters, keeps making her life miserable by the day. Soon enough calamity strikes, will the predicament make the two come together and fight the common enemy? Or will it make their enmity greater? Eighty percent of the story is the real life story of the author, who has the said disability.
