About the Author
Alan Rex Mitchell is the author of Melchizedek's Seal & Scroll, a treatise on all things Melchizedek with special attention to a Dead Sea Scroll (11Q13). He has published in technical, scientific, economic fields, as well as fiction; his poetry was included in the latest Mormon poetry anthology, Fire in the Pasture. His first novel, Angel of the Danube, was a critically acclaimed and is used in Mormon Literature classes. Ernest Lehenbauer's father was an LDS convert from a long line of Lutheran ministers and an engineer for Ford Motor Company. His mother, a teacher, is of Mormon pioneer heritage. Ernest was therefore nurtured with a love of things both technical and spiritual, and was also blessed with an inquiring mind. When he heard a talk given by Bill Lewis, one of the designers of the San Diego Temple, it sparked his interest in the Seal of Melchizedek. Later Ernest traveled to the Middle East as an armored vehicle mechanic for a military contractor, where he began to notice the ubiquitous eight-pointed star. The ancient symbol continues to be of great interest to him.
