Courtney graduated with honors from East Coweta High School in 1997 and accepted a music scholarship to the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, GA. During her sophomore year, she took a creative writing class. This really became an outlet for her creativity and she began writing more poetry and stories. In 2004 she moved to Fargo, ND. She returned to college and obtained a degree in Criminal Justice from Aakers College in 2007. She continued to write for fun and allowed her stories to be a creative outlet in her busy life.
