The Treasured Gift

This is a wonderful children's fiction book about gift giving at Hanukkah. The child has to guess what the gift is throughout the story. As the story unfolds the child discovers what the gift is and the importance and value of the gift. The story emphasizes family relationships and focuses on the importance of sibling relationships and how one needs to treasure and nurture relationships with brothers and sisters. The gift of family is what is to be treasured and is seen as priceless. Understanding and being mindful of being in the moment and valuing the family that you have is important. This book is a treasure for the whole family to read. The present is a gift.

About the Author
Debra is a Registered Social Worker and has a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology. She has extensive experience working with children and parents both educationally and therapeutically. She works as the School Counsellor at private Elementary school in Toronto, Canada. Prior to that she was the School Psychologist at a High School in South Africa. She also lectured at medical school at the University of Witwatersrand, Sout Africa and lectured to psychology students at Rhodes University in South Africa. Prior to that she worked as a Social Worker at the Johannesburg hospital . She has written and published two other children's books . "David goes to play therapy" and "Memories and Reflections of my school years." She is married and has 3 children and lives in Toronto. She is a certified Yoga teacher and loves practicing yoga.
