About the Author
Mike Harkins has thirty years of diverse communications and media experience, including communications coaching for many C-level executives. He went from artist and actor in the mid-'70s to a decade of concert and video production with music greats including Journey, Bruce Springsteen, and Michael Jackson. His communications clients have included Kendall-Jackson wine, the USC Medical System, Schwinn, Gatorade, and Wells Fargo, and he has served as creative director, senior writer, and editor for a Northern California business magazine and several small press publishers. His commentary has aired on National Public Radio's All Things Considered, and his book, The Way to Communicate, was published in October 2010 by Portsmouth Publishing. His fiction was included in the premier issue of Thrice Fiction magazine (www.thricefiction.com), and Move to Fire, his book detailing the true story of an attorney's fight against the country's most corrupt gun maker, will be available in summer 2015. He's currently co-writing the memoir of the woman who founded the country's first wild horse sanctuary.
