Tiny But Mighty

Very premature babies, those born before 26 weeks gestation and characterized as micro preemies. These babies face very specific and difficult obstacles during their long stay in the NICU. Traditional NICU and premature baby books don't go into detail about micro preemies and the problems they face. I hope that sharing my story might be of benefit for someone just beginning their journey because at the time my boys were born I couldn't find the kind of resources I wish that I had been able to.

I hadn't planned on going into labor at 23 weeks. I hadn't planned on delivering my boys at 24+1 and 24+2 weeks gestation. I wish my boys hadn't spent 105 and 134 days in the NICU. But going through all that we did, I learned a lot and want to share this experience with others in hopes it makes their journey just a little easier.
