About the Author
Tracy and Scott Snowman are professional educators and artists/illustrators with over 20 years of experience working in both public schools and colleges. The couple currently teaches full-time at Spoon River College in Canton, IL where they live with their two children. Their background includes Bachelor's Degrees in K-12 Art Education and two Master's Degrees. Over the course of their careers the Snowman's have taught journalism, art history, art appreciation, graphic design, web design, sculpture, ceramics, painting, and drawing. Their first Master's Degrees were in Art (specializing in children's literature and illustration under the direction of Professor/Author Jacqueline Dougan Jackson) from the University of Illinois at Springfield (formerly Sangamon State University) in 1989. Later, they both finished Master's Degrees in Science (Instructional Design) at Western Illinois University enabling them to pioneer online instruction in art at the high school and community college level in Illinois. Tracy and Scott are co-owners of Snowman Studios where they do commissioned work in photography, digital design, drawing, ceramics, painting, public performance, publishing and large-scale mural work.
