A surprising delight for sophisticated newcomer Elenora Clapworthy finding herself far from the comfort of her cosy Home Counties origins. Soon to loose her heart to the touching and often hilarious lives of a tough Yorkshire working class community. This is Bronte country during the second world war. "Two Rings Around the Moon" is an anthology of short stories of ordinary folk united against the evil dictators both national like Hitler and local like corrupt mill owners, self important senior coppers and petty officials. The loyal, tender (and tough) love they have for each other is evident in each of their individual stories and positively monumental in the final dramatic denouement when they join forces to right a terrible injustice.

About the Author
After aworking life of about sixty odd wonderful enjoyable years as a professional actor Kent Baker abandonned the boards, sacked his agent, packed away his costumes and greasepaint to devote what time was left to him to write. 2013 saw his first book "The Secret War Dairies of Joey Muldoon" published by Amazon Books. Thanks, and God Bless everyone who bought, read and liked it. However you can take an actor from the stage- you can give him the hook!- but you can't take the stage out of the actor. His theatrical life still informs everything he writes, which is understandable when one considers he has spent years in repertory, The London West End, Musical theatre, Concert Party, Music Hall, Films, Television, Tatty Tours and Working Mens Clubs. Work that has taken him to Scandinavia, Germany, France, Africa not to mentionthe USA. Broadway. Yeah Broadway! and Chicago with the famous Second City Company. If he had to choose the most memorable of his wonderful experiences he cherishes probably best of all being a member of the Theatre Workshop Company under the directorship of Joan Littlewood. Not bad for a little lad from a housing estate in Bradford eh?
