Under Drake's Flag: A Tale of the Spanish Main

Ned and Tom are two young Englishmen ready to take on the world. Sailing with Francis Drake on a voyage to the New World the pair find themselves in one adventure after another. Along the way Ned and Tom are lost at sea, cross Patagonia on foot, introduce fire to bewildered natives, are mistaken for gods, and turn the tables on the Spanish Inquisition (who would ever expected that?). Will the two young men survive? Will they ever see England again? The answers to these and many other questions will be answered in G.A. Henty's Under Drake's Flag: A Tale of the Spanish Main. Set in the late-sixteenth century, this book includes more than seventy geographical, historical, and explanatory footnotes to aid the modern reader.
