It is, perhaps, a shame that pseudonyms and pen names are all too common in this particular field of writing. It would be nice to say that we have progressed enough that one would not be judged unkindly simply because they have decided to associate themselves with the intersection of art and sex. But we have not. So a mask, of sorts, is needed. But masks are funny things. Sometimes by hiding our physical face, our true self comes out, or at least a version of ourselves. A mask isn't just a disguise, it is a kind of armor that protects us, and lets us be bolder than we otherwise might.
