About the Author
Sayles, Jaterrika: - JaTerrika D. Sayles, known to many as Miss Terri, hails from Montgomery, Alabama. For as long as she can remember she has been passionate about children. As a teen she was a member of the Boys and Girls Club of Montgomery where she volunteered with the 6-10 year old children. While there she assisted daily with learning activities and during her tenure she was noted for preparing several students for their next grade level. This led to her becoming a babysitter for many local families. After re-locating to Gulfport, Mississippi she became a pre-toddler teacher. In 2007, shortly after the start of her career, she completed courses toward her CDA (Child Development Associate) credential. After this phenomenal achievement, she decided that a career in childcare was her calling. Currently, she is a lead toddler teacher at Maxwell Air Force Base Child Development Center. In 2011 she received her CDA and is currently enrolled in a virtual lab school studying Professional Development for Child and Youth Educators. Upon completing this course of study, JaTerrika plans to open her very own child development center.
