Enamored with all forms of the written word, she has published poetry and narrative non-fiction, and written the dreaded first novel. Mascaro has a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Arts in English from the University of Tennessee. She lives in Knoxville with her husband, two cats, and a dog.
