About the Author
As founder and organizer of the Tampa Readiness Group and floridareadiness.org, Rich Bryant has been deeply involved in the disaster preparedness movement since 2008. Since that time, that original group has spawned and inspired satellite groups throughout Central Florida, and Rich has provided presentations on many aspects of modern disaster preparedness to numerous other groups across the state. In 2010 Rich realized that there was a need for a serious book dealing with the subject that contained sufficiently detailed information to provide "normal people with a fighting chance" to survive major social breakdown. "When There is No FEMA" is the result of the subsequent 3-year effort. In his earlier years Rich worked on the family farm and grew up hunting, trapping and fishing in the swamps and woodlands of West Tennessee. As work on this book progressed, that timeless wealth of knowledge and experience came flooding across time and space to find its way between the covers of "When There is No FEMA".
