The Empire of Clyos is not the safe kingdom that it once was.

An unknown cult has arisen within the kingdom's borders, committing heinous crimes and sacrifices without leaving a trace behind. The name of this cult has been speculated by many, and known by few... The Shadows of Hema. They strike after the sun sets, with their cause remaining a secret.

One very unfortunate mage has begun to unravel this conspiracy. Joshua is a learner of healing magic, determined to one day become an official healer and help the weak with his magical abilities. This goal has now become an impossible dream, as Joshua soon finds himself abducted by the infamous band of murderous criminals.

In his attempt to escape, Joshua is introduced to the many members of this mysterious cult. He becomes aware of the reasoning behind their actions. He finds that these criminals originate from every corner of Clyos, of both elven and human races. They have sought refuge in their faction as outcasts of society.
