Can humanity continue on the present course of environmental destruction and over population? Or is the ship of state foundering under the weight of primitive delusions and beyond salvage? Be advised: This is a controversial, insightful and humorous account of the human condition whose central argument is the need for a Manhattan Project change to the educational system. In his book "You Call This Living?" Kingsley mimics his first Jewish mother-in-law: "It's got everything in there; the clowns, the elephants, and the doves." But on a serious note, we cannot stay on the path of "business as usual" in order to survive with our collective sanity intact. In any event, the planet Earth will spin and wobble through the cosmos quite indifferent to our machinations.

About the Author
You Call This Living? explores how religion butts heads with science and rational thinking, and how the outcome will determine the seesaw of life on Earth. The inconsistencies on our planet include a population of seven billion humans with perhaps many of them unable or uneducated to prosper in life. The account was written over a ten-year period in various locations around the world and has many humorous stories. But there is a sober message that reflects issues of ethics and morals. From the days of the caveman to particle physics, we are at the point where only a major overhaul of education has a slight probability of righting the ship of state and staying a course with consciousness intact. The author, originally from West Long Branch, NJ, was a Contracting Officer for the U.S. Army at New Jersey, Orlando, Honduras, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. The writer is a graduate of the University of Dayton Ohio and holds veteran status from the U.S. Coast Guard.
