"Tao tells Yukio's story with stunning, original full color photography of arctic wildlife." Kirkus Review

Dive into the Arctic wonderland with Yukio and his siblings as they discover the magic and mystery of their icy new home!

On the edge of the North Pole, three playful polar bear cubs, Yukio, Koda, and Bella, are about to step out of their cozy den for the very first time. Led by their caring mother, they explore the vast, frozen tundra, discovering the joys of playing in the snow and the importance of staying alert to the dangers posed by sneaky foxes and colossal walruses that lurk in the wintry landscape.

Each new discovery teaches them valuable lessons about survival and the significance of family relationships. With Yukio's curiosity leading the way, Koda's bravery shining through, and Bella learning to embrace the adventure, the cubs bond over laughter, curiosity, and a few scares!

Filled with stunning original photographs that bring these beautiful animals to life, this delightful children's picture book invites young readers to join the cubs on their journey of exploration. And, with educational elements woven throughout the tale, it encourages discussions about nature, wildlife, and the importance of respecting our environment.

Perfect for a bedtime story or classroom sharing, this captivating adventure will leave your child eager to explore the natural world around them!

About the Author
Tao, Liwen: - Growing up in China during 60's, I didn't have access to children's books. I dreamed that one day, I'd wear a white coat and work in a science lab! In 1985 I traveled to the US as a scholar, then went to graduate school. I was trained in endodontic dentistry and in 1991 I became an Endodontist! My interest in photography began during our family trips with my lovely 2 children and my husband, while enjoying wildlife in its natural environment. I have traveled seven continents, climbed the Himalaya for Snow Leopards; searched for Emperor Penguins by the ice breaker; watched Lemurs on the mountains in Madagascar; observed Polar Bears at -30 F degrees at Arctic; and enjoyed a gorilla family in Uganda, as well as Jaguars in the Pantanal of Brazil. I create children's books to share the amazing nature beauties I've seen, hoping it will encourage your involvement in wildlife conservation. The Earth is our home. We must make every effort to protect it ! The wildlife and its habitat's future are in our hands!
